The education and training of children is among the most meritorious acts of humankind and draweth down the grace and favour of the All-Merciful
Sylvan Lake Bahá’í Centre is an international Bahá’í Centre of Learning located in Alberta.
Sylvan Lake Bahá’í Centre provides spiritual and practical education and community service-learning opportunities for all ages, empowering diverse paths to personal development within a common commitment of service to humanity. Programs are aimed to develop our capacities to embrace social change and aim at facilitating public discourse in a rapidly evolving world.
By encouraging the practice of spiritual consultation, study of sacred scriptures and observance of God’s laws, and promoting education as a fundamental human right, opportunities are created that assist children, youth and adult attendees to become spiritually distinctive human beings. Through participatory formats that include community-building aspects, multi-age group collaboration, small-group study, and integration of the arts, we gain new skills in applying Bahá’í teachings to our daily lives and social experiences.
Sylvan Lake Baha’i Programs are organized and coordinated by SLBC Program Committee. The SLBC Program Committee is an appointed committee by the Baha’i Council of Alberta which is under the auspices of the National Spiritual Assembly of Baha’is of Canada.
